Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data salestoleader.com collects, how it's used, and what rights you have over it. It applies to this website, the Sales to Leader Transition Assessment, and the First 90 Days Toolkit.
Who we are
Sales to Leader is a trading name of an individual based in the United Kingdom, who acts as the "data controller" for the personal data described in this policy.
If you have any questions about this policy or how your data is handled, you can contact us at hello@salestoleader.com.
What data we collect
We collect the following information when you interact with this site:
- Email address — when you take the Transition Assessment, request the First 90 Days Toolkit, or submit a story.
- Assessment responses — your answers to the 12 Transition Assessment statements, and the profile questions (your current role status, team size, and how you found the site).
- Basic technical data — standard web server logs (such as IP address and browser type) collected automatically by our hosting provider, Netlify, for security and performance purposes.
We do not collect payment information on this site at this time, and we do not use advertising trackers or third-party ad cookies.
How we use your data
We use your data to:
- Send you a confirmation email and calculate your personalised Transition Snapshot results;
- Unlock and deliver the First 90 Days Toolkit and its companion materials;
- Send you a reminder to retake the assessment after 90 days, so you can see how your results have changed;
- Send you occasional emails related to Sales to Leader, which you can unsubscribe from at any time;
- Understand, in aggregate and anonymised form, how people's scores tend to change over time — this helps us improve the book, toolkit, and assessment. We do not publish or share individual, identifiable results without your consent.
Legal basis for processing
We process your email address and assessment data on the basis of your consent — given when you submit the assessment or toolkit request form, and confirmed through a double opt-in email. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing (a link is included in every email) or by contacting us directly.
Who we share your data with
We use a small number of trusted service providers ("processors") to run this site and deliver the assessment. These include:
- Kit (email and subscriber management) — stores your email address, assessment scores, and subscription status.
- Netlify (website hosting) — hosts this site and processes form submissions and technical logs.
These providers may process data outside the UK (for example, in the United States). Where this happens, they do so under appropriate legal safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We do not sell your data to anyone, ever.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage to remember whether you've confirmed your email and unlocked the toolkit on that specific device, so you don't have to repeat the process. This information stays on your device and is not used to track you across other websites.
Emails sent through Kit may include standard open and click tracking, which is common practice for email delivery platforms and helps us understand whether our emails are reaching people.
How long we keep your data
We keep your data for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your data is retained in an inactive state in accordance with Kit's standard retention practices, primarily to maintain suppression lists (so we don't accidentally re-contact you). You can request full deletion at any time — see "Your rights" below.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy of it;
- Ask us to correct inaccurate data;
- Ask us to delete your data;
- Object to or restrict how we use your data;
- Withdraw consent at any time;
- Complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if you believe your data has been mishandled.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@salestoleader.com. We'll respond within one month, as required by law.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time — for example, as the Sales to Leader Academy or other new features launch. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent version.
